John Embry was the editor of Drummer Magazine, the earliest Magazine I knew of for kink fans like myself. I thought of him as a mentor and friend as well as a pioneer in Freedom of Expression–especially as it pertains to  people with fetishes like you and I. So for historical purposes, I thought some of you would enjoy hearing his own words on starting several magazines, staging and getting busted for holding a slave auction for charity, et al. John has passed and I salute him for trail blazing us into the present and beyond and for that we have him to thank.
